TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General Sales Conditions for MTB Tours with Biketours.lu

Participant Responsibility:

Participants take part in the tours at their own risk. Biketours cannot be held responsible for any damages. Each participant confirms that they are in good mental and physical health to participate and that their bike is in excellent riding condition. If not, Biketours.lu reserves the right to refuse participation in the tour.

Safety Gear:

Wearing a helmet is mandatory, and other protective gear is recommended depending on the type of course. Individuals without a helmet will not be allowed to participate in the tour.

Reservations and Payment:

Reservations must be paid at least 2 weeks before departure. If the invoice is not paid by this deadline, Biketours.lu reserves the right to cancel the service without obligation to inform the client. Any cancellation made after the reservation will not be refunded.

If a third party is involved in the course, the participant must adhere to their cancellation policy, and the client will be responsible for any fees, even if the cancellation with Biketours remains free.

Group Size and Guides:

A group consists of 8 participants per guide. Any additional participants will require a second guide, subject to availability, and a second service will be charged. If a second guide needs to be hired, the costs will amount to a complete service as it was chosen. Biketours.lu reserves the right to analyze the request and accept one or more additional participants for an extra fee calculated pro-rata based on the selected tour price. Biketours.lu also reserves the right to designate a person from the group to remain in the last position to ensure everyone keeps up.

Pricing:

Prices include VAT, and adjustments may be calculated for additional services such as bike rentals or others. The bike rental is done through third parties, and Biketours reserves the right to charge a handling fee for bike reservations. The handling fee amounts to €45 for each additional service. The bike rental will also incur delivery charges calculated by the provider.

Equipment Responsibility:

The participant is solely responsible for any damage or breakage of the equipment provided. Repair or replacement costs will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, depending on the severity and the provider.

Media Release:

By participating, the participant authorizes Biketours.lu to take photos of them for keepsake purposes and to use the same photos for publication on social media and for marketing reasons. The client will need to sign a liability waiver before the tour and can check a box that allows or disallows them to be photographed.

Conduct:

Participants are required to adhere to traffic regulations and are prohibited from participating under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Force Majeure:

In case of force majeure, Biketours.lu will make every effort to find and propose an alternative. A refund will not be automatically issued in case of force majeure; an alternative will be proposed first or a rescheduling will be offered. If no solution is possible, Biketours will then refund 50% of the costs.

Duration of Services:
Each service is valid without interruption. However, if a midday break or specific site visit is required, the service will be considered a custom ride and will be subject to an ad-hoc calculation. Departure time will be around 9a.m. for the early start and approximatively 2p.m. for a late start.
